Office Administrator

We are seeking a Part-Time Office Administrator to work collaboratively as part of the leadership team to help meet the purposes of West Springs Church.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing the Church Office, including general reception, weekly financials, facilitating communication within the congregation and beyond (including weekly bulletins, website, emails), record keeping, managing “Events Calendar”, assisting the Rental Manager in facility bookings, maintaining security systems.

  • Providing administrative support primarily to the Lead Pastor and more generally to the Board, staff, and ministry leaders (as directed by the Lead Pastor).

  • Engaging in staff meetings and regular updates to the pastor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in office administrative work.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Basic knowledge of Excel is a plus.

  • Comfortable utilizing websites and social media is an asset.

REMUNERATION: This is a paid part-time position starting at 10 hrs/wk.

START DATE: July 1, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Children’s Ministries Director

We are seeking a Part-Time Children’s Ministries Director who will partner with families to foster an environment in which children can be introduced to and experience life with Jesus Christ.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES - Overseeing the development and implementation of ministries for children ages 0 years to Grade 4 which includes:

  • A Sunday morning program of worship/teaching for age 4 years through Grade 4.

  • A Sunday morning program of care for infants age 0 to 3 years.

  • A plan ensuring protection for children in our programs.

  • Children’s Ministries components for special events.

  • An active role on the leadership team at West Springs Church.

  • Administrative duties include updates to the Lead Pastor, identifying curriculum, budgeting, long-term planning.

  • Visioning strategies to connect with the community around us.

  • Leading a team of volunteers to help accomplish Children’s Ministries goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with children.

  • A history of active ministry in a local church.

  • A post-secondary degree in education or equivalent life experience.

REMUNERATION: This is a paid part-time position equivalent to 10 hrs/wk.

START DATE: August 15
