Hi there and welcome! Thank you for checking out West Springs Church! We hope the information here will help answer any questions you may have on what to expect for your visit.

Sunday Service

When you arrive, our Welcome Team is on hand to extend a welcome, answer questions and help you find your way around.

The atmosphere at West Springs Church is friendly and casual in nature and we encourage you to come as you are! You will find us in jeans and tees, cultural attire, our Sunday best and everything in between.

The service begins at 10:05 am and generally lasts 60 -70 minutes.

We begin by singing 3-4 contemporary worship songs. You won’t find any organs or hymnals here, though you may still hear the occasional hymn done in a fresh, new way.

This is followed by a 15-30 minute message, based on scripture and with practical application to your daily life.

Communion

We partake in Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Our table is open to all who want to meet Jesus. There will be a time to pick up a small cup of grape juice and wafer (both pre-packaged/sealed during this COVID period) and head back to your seat. There is no pressure to join in if you prefer to stay in your seat and enjoy the moment. When we meet virtually online, you can participate in communion at home with us.

All Kids Ministry Team members have undergone training and cleared a police record check.

Getting Here & Parking

We are located at the corner of 77th Street SW and Weston Drive SW in the community of West Springs on Calgary’s west side.

There is ample, free parking in our adjacent lot and on the street.

Denomination

West Springs Church is affiliated with the Free Methodist Church in Canada, a worldwide movement rooted in Methodism (founded by John Wesley), with historical ties to the abolishment of slavery, early advocation of women’s rights, child labour reform and the establishment of hospitals and schools.
